Creating a level playing field for all children is a mission that CDF cannot accomplish alone. We often work with or refer people to many other organizations nationwide who are working to improve the lives of children. A list of some of them is below.

•Access for Infants and Mothers

•The AIM Program is low-cost health coverage for pregnant women. It has been designed for middle-income families who don’t have health insurance and whose income is too high to qualify for no-cost Medi-Cal. AIM is also available to those who have health insurance if their deductible or co-payment for maternity services is more than $500. If you qualify for AIM, your baby is automatically eligible for enrollment in the Healthy Families Program unless your infant is enrolled in employer-sponsored insurance or no-cost full scope Medi-Cal.

•AIDS Project Los Angeles

•AIDS Project Los Angeles is dedicated to: improving the lives of people affected by HIV disease; reducing the incidence of HIV infection; and advocating for fair and effective HIV-related public policy.

•Alliance for Health Reform

•The Alliance for Health Reform is a nonpartisan, nonprofit group that provides an array of resources and viewpoints to help policymakers, journalists, and advocates undersatnd the nation's health care proplems and proposals for changes.

•American Academy of Pediatrics

•Center for Public Policy Priorities (CPPP)

•For more than twenty years, the Center for Public Policy Priorities has been a nonpartisan, nonprofit research organization committed to improving public policies and private practices to better the economic and social conditions of low- and moderate-income Texans. The Center's work is divided into workforce and economic development; access to public benefits, including health care, food, and cash assistance; child protection; school finance; state and federal tax and budget analysis; and family economic security. •Community Health Councils, Inc.

•Community Health Councils (CHC) is a non-profit community-based health promotion, advocacy and policy organization. CHC was established in 1992 in response to the growing healthcare crisis. Their mission is to improve health and increase access to quality healthcare for uninsured, under-resourced and underserved populations

•Cover the Uninsured Week

•Cover the Uninsured Week coordinates activities across the country to build awareness that too many children and adults in America are uninsured.

•Department of Health Care Services

•The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is a department within the California Health and Human Services Agency.  DHCS’ mission is to preserve and improve the health status of all Californians.  DHCS works closely with health care professionals, county governments and health plans to provide a health care safety net for California’s low-income and persons with disabilities.
